A traditional craft, workers in the 19th century did in the first manufactures or in home work - long before the machinery entered the brush industry. In 1955 Friedrich Busse began his apprenticeship as a brush-maker and since there he worked in different brush factories in Todtnau/Black Forrest. Today, the 76-year-old is a member of the Heimat- und Kulturverein Todtnau and shows his handcraft at weekly markets or fairs and also at this year's Interbrush trade fair.
