50th FEIBP Congress in Marseille/France
The European Brushware Federation (FEIBP) met from 2 to 4 October, 2008 in Marseille/France and was a successful meeting that contributed to fostering and consolidating cooperation within the brush trade.
This year’s event marked the European Brushware Federation’s 50th anniversary. The organisers had invited guest speakers Peter Day and Daniel Haber who spoke about the „Economic situation in the West as compared to the economic boom in Asia“ and „Global competitiveness: How the West can win by improved performance and innovation“.

The speeches from FEIBP members like Zahoransky AG, Desco von Schulthess, Delbanco Meyer, Friedrich Platt GmbH and Hahl Filaments and Working groups who reported on „Technical brushes“ and „PHB Hygiene Brushes“ were well attended and offered members and interested delegates ample opportunity for stimulating discussion.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Federation, the FEIBP President presented a booklet which is available at eurobrush.com and buerstenverband.de (German).
The organisers had again put together a varied programme of guided tours for partners and other persons accompanying the delegates. On the last evening of the event all the delegates and partners were invited to dine at the Palais du Pharo, a former imperial residence built by Prince-President Louis-Napoleon in 1852.
